Best Effort to Date for the Novice Team, Still Come Up Short

BILL GRAY'S REGIONAL ICEPLEX, June 14, 2016 - The visiting Rochester Inferno (Novice) took on the Mooseknuckles in a matchup on Tuesday. The Mooseknuckles defeated the Inferno 5 to 4 at Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex. This was the first match-up between these two teams.

The Rochester Inferno had 6 players that made the scorecard. Chris Linford had 2 goals and 1 assist (3 points). Dan Brochu had 1 goal. Kevin Carpenter had 1 goal. Felix Yarovinsky had 1 assist. Shane Bertou was whistled for 2 penalty minutes. Albert Blankley was whistled for 2 penalty minutes.

This was by far the Novice team's best effort to date, skating hard in a hotly contested and physical game. A late goal by Brochu tied it up with 45 seconds remaining on the clock. The Inferno won the ensuing draw and put on a late fury with the goalie pulled but couldn't find the net.

Game puck awards went to Kevin Carpenter who netted his first goal of the summer season.
